Nationwide Request for Proposal (RFP) for powered land projects launches later this month, connecting sellers with LevelTen's hyperscaler and data center buyers.

SEATTLE, October 13, 2026 — LevelTen Energy, operator of the world’s largest clean energy marketplace, is expanding its platform into powered land, enabling the purchase and sale of data center projects under development. To support this new initiative, LevelTen has appointed John Barrow, a data center developer with more than 20 years of energy industry leadership, as director. The company will launch a national RFP for powered land projects later this month.

LevelTen is applying a decade of experience working with the largest data center companies and hyperscalers to one of the industry's most pressing challenges: efficiently finding sites that can be powered quickly. By extending its platform, expertise and credibility, LevelTen is bringing to powered land the same rapid, organized, and transparent process those buyers already rely on for energy and capacity. Today, LevelTen’s large energy and capacity buyer RFPs serve a network of more than 1,300 project developers, delivering buyers a clean, prioritized shortlist of the most qualified offers. LevelTen also anonymizes and aggregates data to deliver unique market intelligence, based on real pricing insights, back to participants. Utilities, independent power producers, banks, consulting firms, and large energy buyers value that intelligence to inform critical strategy decisions.

Barrow has spent more than 20 years in leadership roles across the energy industry, including at CyrusOne Data Centers, and CPS Energy in ERCOT. His data center development experience spans utility strategy, infrastructure planning, power generation, and capacity solutions.

"In my career, I've had a front-row seat to the data center boom," said Barrow. "Everyone is grappling with the same questions: where to site facilities, how to uncover the best projects amid the noise, and how to power them as quickly as possible. I joined LevelTen because a technology platform can solve those problems for industry participants at scale."

Through the LevelTen Marketplace, powered land sellers will be able to efficiently connect their most compelling opportunities with more hyperscaler and data center buyers. LevelTen can also match those opportunities with available generation capacity and energy, bringing projects closer to turnkey status. Participating sellers will receive first-to-market intelligence in exchange for their submissions, including benchmarking on pricing and site development maturity.

"Powered land needs the same transparency and process efficiency LevelTen brings to clean energy transactions," said Barrow. “Bringing powered land onto the marketplace where hyperscalers already source energy and capacity means those same hyperscalers can find the most compelling sites and the power to energize them in one place.”
