LevelTen Energy is honored to be recognized by the Climate Change Business Journal (CCBJ) with two awards for innovation in the renewable energy space.

In the “Business Model Innovation: Clean Distributed Generation & Energy Storage” category, LevelTen’s RE-Store™ Energy Agreement won for its impacts as an innovative financial contract that provides corporations and load-serving entities with easier access to the risk-reduction and economic benefits of energy storage. Starbucks was the first to use an agreement of this kind to provide renewable energy for more than 550 stores in California with solar energy and utility-scale batteries. The agreement opens the door to billions of dollars of investment in large-scale energy storage projects by providing buyers a practical way to contract with storage developers, and by guaranteeing a revenue stream to developers to support project financing. In addition, as a financially-settled contract, the agreement affords storage owners full operational control, allowing projects to optimize all asset revenues through capacity and ancillary services sales.

CCBJ also recognized the launch of LevelTen’s Risk & Value 2.0 and LevelTen Marketplace 4.0 update in the “Information Technology for Renewable Energy” category. A suite of online analytics tools, Risk & Value 2.0 makes it easy for procurement managers to confidently choose the best PPA for their organization, and successfully win internal stakeholder approval: a key barrier in the PPA process.

The LevelTen Marketplace 4.0 update added European projects to the platform and enhanced LevelTen’s RFP Automation and Performance Monitoring software. The expansion into Europe significantly expanded the LevelTen Marketplace into 21 countries across North America and Europe, and RFP Automation and Performance Monitoring have helped make PPA procurement, selection, and monitoring easier and faster than ever.

As the leading provider of renewable transaction infrastructure, LevelTen will continue to make the process of bringing more clean energy online faster, easier, and more accessible, and is honored to be recognized with these awards by the CCBJ.
